Kubert was a brilliant artist (best known for his work on Sgt. Rock and Hawkman) who spent the later half of his life training a generation of new artists, including such ladies as Amanda Conner, Jan Duursema, and Jenny Frison. His art alone was plenty to secure his legacy, but he will also live on in his students, and all future alumni from his school.
