i really love tumblr because now i know for a fact that the phrase, “historical accuracy,” in reference to certain people in fantasy shows with dragons, mermaids, magic, elves, monsters, hobbits, seasons that last forever, and people who have perfect teeth and bathe once a day, is actually code for, “whaaaaa why isn’t everyone in my fantasy world white?”

My personal favourite was still a guy who defended his web comic by claiming it had elves and dwarfs, so it was very racially diverse.
