Thoughts? Nerds can be such assholes. And considering the flak they’ve gotten their whole lives from everyone else, they should know better.

I’m not sure what’s stupider:

Trying to take credit for protecting the image of girl gamers because the girl gamers couldn’t do that for themselves, they need the might of mentally unstable, anti-social boys to do that.

The concept that they “made” girls like games by doing everything possible to drive them out.  By this logic, Coke Cola’s next marketing campaign will focus on telling you it tastes like cat piss, contains random poisons and they’ve hired thugs to do drivebys at crowded shops that sell Coke Cola.  Screw selling it as the idea of happiness.

This is desperation for reaffirmation and trying to cover your mistakes at it’s worst.

And I say this as a gamer guy who has happily hangs out with gamer girls and never feels the need to “weed out” the “fake” gamers (whatever the fuck that is) and has a gamer girlfriend (who is awesome).

Also I am sceptical that anyone who uses such shitty ideas and is too poor to pay for the unwatermarked stock image they used (probably without permission) actually has a hot gamer girlfriend or friends with gamer girlfriends… ‘cause y’know, then they’d have a photo of a “real” gamer girl and wouldn’t feel the desperate need to explain themselves.
