OH MY FUCKING GOD. I can’t. Yes, slave’s lives were sunshine and rainbows and indigenous Africans were barely surviving before Europeans came along. 

Does Jon Hubbard forget that slaves weren’t citizens and therefore weren’t Americans? Does Jon Hubbard forget that African countries were doing JUST FINE before Europeans exploited the fuck out of them? Does Jon Hubbard forget regardless of circumstances, living a FREE LIFE is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x better than being a slave? 
What the hell would possess someone to share this vitriole?
Why do our government representatives ignore actual history?

Important to remember he is just one of at least THREE GOP lawmakers to recently state this sentiment and receive absolutely zero negative feedback on it until liberal news sites and social media started spreading the story.

These aren’t new or recent statements, for the most part, these people have been saying this for years and the GOP didn’t care, until getting embarrassed right before the election.
